Who we are
Social Queens Bangalore (“Social Queens”, “we”, “us”) is a girls social club and ladies collective in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, hosted by Sheema Noor.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, register for a workshop, or pay with Razorpay, why we collect it, and how you can reach us. By using the website or completing a registration, you agree to this policy.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need to save your seat, confirm payment, and look after you at the gathering.
- Name — to put you on the guest list and make your name card.
- WhatsApp number — to confirm your seat, share venue details, and send updates if a plan changes.
- Email (optional) — for receipts, refunds, and follow-up if WhatsApp does not go through.
- Area in Bangalore, age band, whether you are coming solo or with someone, interests, and how you found us — to plan the room, not to sell your data.
- Notes you type (dietary needs, a little one, first-time jitters) — so the host can take care of you.
- Payment details processed by Razorpay — including order id, payment id, amount, currency, and payment status. We do not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking password.
- Technical data such as IP address and basic browser information — to keep registrations secure and prevent abuse.
How we use your information
Your information is used to register you for a workshop, confirm Razorpay payments, send seat confirmations, share event details, process refunds, answer support questions, and improve how we host. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Payments and Razorpay
Paid workshops are collected through Razorpay, a RBI-authorised payment aggregator. When you pay, Razorpay processes the transaction on our behalf. Card, UPI, net-banking and wallet data is handled on Razorpay’s secure checkout, not on our servers.
Razorpay’s own privacy terms apply to the payment step. We receive confirmation of payment, a payment id, and the amount paid so we can mark your seat as confirmed.
Who we share data with
We share personal information only when it is needed to run the gathering or required by law:
- Razorpay, to create orders, capture payments, and issue refunds.
- The host and a small operations team, to run the guest list on the day.
- Venue partners, only first names or a headcount if the room needs it — never your WhatsApp number or payment details unless you ask us to.
- Authorities, if Indian law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses essential cookies and similar storage so the site works (for example, the admin login). If Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is switched on, those tools may collect anonymous usage data such as pages viewed. We do not use that data to advertise to you on other sites.
How long we keep it
Registration and payment records are kept for as long as needed to host the workshop, complete refunds, and meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements in India, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to explain how we use it. Write to us from the Contact Us page. We will respond within 7 business days. You may also withdraw consent for future messages; we may still contact you about a workshop you have already paid for.
These rights are offered in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable Indian law.
Children
Most Social Queens gatherings are for women aged 21 and above, unless a workshop page clearly says otherwise (for example a kids hobby day, where a parent or guardian registers). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for paid adult workshops.
